Ghostface Returns on the Official ‘Scream’ Poster!
It’s always someone you know…
The Scream franchise will return to theaters on January 14, 2022, and fans have been clamoring for the first footage.
With a trailer drop imminent, Paramount and Spyglass Media Group has shared the first official poster that’s nothing short of a scream, putting Ghostface and a bloodied knife front and center. The posters for the previous four Scream films have always highlighted the suspects cast, while this is the first to prominently feature the iconic slasher! It’s a glorious piece of art that demands attention in theater lobbies and eventually…your wall.
Scream is being directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett and produced by Chad Villella of the filmmaking group Radio Silence (Ready or Not, V/H/S, Southbound) from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt (Murder Mystery, Zodiac, The Amazing Spider-Man) and Guy Busick (Ready or Not, Castle Rock). Michel Aller is editing the film.
Dylan Minnette (Goosebumps), Mason Gooding (Let It Snow), Kyle Gallner (Ghosts of War), Jasmin Savoy Brown (“Love”) and Mikey Madison (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) recently joined an ensemble that also includes Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott, David Arquette and Courteney Cox who will return as Dewey Riley and Gale Weathers, as well as new cast members Jack Quaid (“The Boys”), Melissa Barrera (“In The Heights”) and Jenna Ortega (“You”). Marley Shelton is also returning as Scream 4 character Deputy Judy Hicks.
The score for Scream is being composed by Brian Tyler (Furious 7, Ready or Not). Kevin Williamson is back as executive producer.
What do you think the next Scream will be about?

Watch the Final Trailer for Ridley Scott’s Post-Apocalyptic Thriller ‘The Dog Stars’
Survivors fight for to preserve their humanity in the final trailer for epic survival thriller The Dog Stars.
The Dog Stars opens exclusively in theaters, IMAX, and premium large formats August 28.
Jacob Elordi (Frankenstein), Josh Brolin (Weapons), and Margaret Qualley (The Substance) star.
The film is “set in a world where survival is instinct, but humanity is a choice.
“Ridley Scott tells the story of Hig, a young pilot who, together with a military survivalist, Bangley, has carved out an efficient but isolated homestead in a brutal post-apocalyptic world until a mysterious radio transmission spurs Hig to venture into the unknown in search of the hope and humanity he still believes exists.”
Guy Pearce, Benedict Wong, and Allison Janney also star.
The film is based on Peter Heller’s bestselling novel and written by Mark L. Smith (Overlord, The Revenant) and produced by Ridley Scott, Michael Pruss, Mark L. Smith, and Cliff Roberts.
The final trailer below previews some post-apocalyptic thrills and feral night sieges, but don’t expect your standard fare here. “We’re doing too many end-of-the-world stories,” Scott recently told Empire of his choice to bypass typical zombie depictions. “This is not The Road. I did not want to do World War Z again; no zombies, please. I thought, ‘What the fuck am I gonna do here?’”
“I think people will be surprised and engaged, actually. I would say, hmm… charmed as well,” Scott says. “Although, there is some violence.”
