‘Jurassic World 4’? Producer Frank Marshall Teases Plans Beyond ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’

Jurassic World: Dominion will open wide in theaters on June 10, 2022, the film set to be the final movie in the Jurassic World trilogy that began back in 2015. But does that mean it’ll be the last we see of the Jurassic franchise for a while? Don’t count on it.

Speaking with Slash Film, Jurassic producer Frank Marshall suggests that while Dominion may be bringing the new trilogy to a close, it sure isn’t the end of the franchise at large.

“I think that Dominion‘s going to wrap up this trilogy, but we’re not resting on our laurels,” Marshall tells Slash Film. “We’re going to sit down, and we’re going to see what the future is.”

He adds, “We have that wonderful series, Camp Cretaceous, on Netflix. We obviously want to make quality, good movies with great storytelling, great writers and directors, but we’re definitely looking to do more in the ‘Jurassic’ world.”

Jurassic World: Dominion is set to bust the franchise wide open, with dinosaurs taking over the mainland, and we can’t wait to see what emerges from that fractured world going forward.

For now, the next stop is Dominion this coming summer. Jurassic World 4 may not exactly be coming in its wake, but the spinoff potential is massive and endless with this one.

Dominion‘s cast includes familiar and new faces such as Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, Dichen Lachman, Mamoudou AthieDeWanda Wise and Scott Haze.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
