Netflix Thriller ‘End of the Road’ Puts Queen Latifah and Ludacris Up Against a Killer; First Look

Netflix teased a handful of this year’s upcoming original thrillers and horror movies today, and the final one we want to spotlight today is a thriller titled End of the Road.

This one doesn’t yet have a release date, but you’ll find some first-look footage in the video below. The cast for End of the Road includes Queen Latifah and Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges.

“After losing her job, recently widowed Brenda drives her family cross-country to start a new life. In the New Mexico desert, cut off from help, they must learn to fight back when they become the targets of a mysterious killer.”

Beau Bridges, Mychala Faith Lee, Shaun Dixon, and Frances Lee McCain also star.

Millicent Shelton directed the thriller, written by Christopher J. Moore and David Loughery.

Producers include Tracey E. Edmonds, Mark Burg, and Brad Kaplan. Executive producers are Queen Latifah, Shakim Compere, Ben Pugh, Erica Steinberg, and Daniel Jason Heffner.

‘Drop’ – Violett Beane Joins the Cast of Christopher Landon’s New Thriller

Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) is staying busy here in 2024, directing not only the werewolf movie Big Bad but also an upcoming thriller titled Drop.

The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.

Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.

Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”

Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.

Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.

THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
