Universal Pictures is bringing the past to the present in more than one way in the absolutely epic trailer debut for Jurassic World: Dominion, which just premiered ahead of this Sunday’s Super Bowl.
The footage teases a collision of old and new in what looks to be somewhat of a nod to the recent trend of faux remakes of classic films. Jurassic World: Dominion hits the nostalgia sweet spot in more ways than one with the return of not only characters from Steven Spielberg’s iconic Jurassic Park, but also specific shots and many of the beloved dinosaurs.
But it doesn’t end there as director Colin Trevorrow ups the ante in more ways than one – a portion of the film takes place in a winter setting, there are cowboys, and we finally get to see a dinosaur with feathers (is it a flying raptor?!). Oh, and this film’s T-Rex-inspired dino is bigger and badder than ever.
Jurassic World Dominion will open wide in theaters on June 10. Check out the trailer here.
And expect to see the Jurassic World Dominion trailer during the Super Bowl.
