‘Studio 666’ – Foo Fighters Take Center Stage in Image Gallery for Horror-Comedy
The Foo Fighters, the incredibly popular rock band fronted by Dave Grohl, are starring in a brand new horror-comedy titled Studio 666, directed by Hatchet III filmmaker BJ McDonnell and filmed in secret during the pandemic. Open Road Films has acquired the film, and they’ll be releasing the mayhem into theaters on February 25, 2022.
Tickets are on sale now, and you can check out a ton of images from the Foo Fighters demonic recording sessions below!
Studio 666 looks to be loaded up with creatures and other evil beings, with Grohl undergoing a transformation and becoming a monster himself. Much of the imagery, including a Necronomicon of sorts, looks very much inspired by Sam Raimi’s The Evil Dead, promising a bloody romp that’s sure to please fans who are more into the FUN side of the horror genre.
And we could always use more of that these days!
“In Studio 666, the legendary rock band Foo Fighters move into an Encino mansion steeped in grisly rock and roll history to record their much anticipated 10th album. Once in the house, Dave Grohl finds himself grappling with supernatural forces that threaten both the completion of the album and the lives of the band.”
The film was written by Jeff Buhler and Rebecca Hughes, based on a story by Grohl.
The full cast includes Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett, Rami Jaffee, Whitney Cummings, Will Forte, Jenna Ortega, Leslie Grossman, and Jeff Garlin.
