Dolby Cinema Poster for Jordan Peele’s ‘Nope’ Stitches Together Steven Yeun’s Outfit

Published

The official Dolby Cinema poster for Jordan Peele‘s third horror movie Nope has debuted this morning, a highly unique piece of art that’s inspired by a character outfit in the movie.

If you’ve been watching the various trailers and TV spots for the movie you’ve probably seen Steven Yeun in this red attire. We don’t know much about Yeun’s character, but he appears to be some kind of cowboy-like showman who promises an “absolute spectacle” to the residents of a lonely gulch of inland California. And that spectacle may involve aliens….

Universal will be releasing Nope in theaters on July 22, 2022. The film is being referred to in official press materials as “a new pop nightmare” and “an expansive horror epic.”

In the film, “Residents in a lonely gulch of inland California who bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery.”

Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out) will be reteaming with Peele on the mysterious movie, with the cast also including Steven Yeun (“The Walking Dead,” Mayhem) and Keke Palmer (“Scream”). Michael Wincott (The Crow), Barbie Ferreira and Brandon Perea also star.

Nope is part of a “five-year exclusive production partnership” Universal Pictures inked with Peele and his Monkeypaw Productions, and it’s been described as a “horror event.” Mind you, anything from Peele at this point is instantly an event, but we can probably expect Nope to be Peele’s biggest movie to date, with an announced IMAX optimization. On that note, the film’s cinematographer is Hoyte van Hoytema, whose previous work includes Let the Right One InSpectre, and the Christopher Nolan films InterstellarDunkirk, and Tenet.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
