You demanded it and we’re listening. Terrifier 2 is returning to theaters for another weekend after its unprecedented special event release over the past week.

A true indie slasher film, Terrifier 2 will return to 700+ theaters alongside big studio horror films Smile and Halloween Ends. Only one of these is completely uncut and unrated.

Head on over to www.Terrifier2TheMovie.com for current listings or check Fandango or your local theater chain to get Terrifier 2 tickets near you RIGHT NOW!

THEATERS ARE BEING ADDED THROUGHOUT THE WEEK, SO MAKE SURE TO KEEP CHECKING!

The extended theatrical run is happening after the film earned an astounding $400,000 in its special event slot last Thursday night. The chaos continued through the weekend with Damien Leone‘s epic slasher currently sitting around $1.4M in total. These are huge numbers for a limited release playing only once or twice a night in most theaters.

As I previously noted, Terrifier 2 is special for one particular reason – it’s fan-driven. The film wasn’t studio-backed and we had no money for marketing. Everything was grassroots and done for the love of the film and the genre. This is a unique moment in horror history that we’re all participants in.

We’re all so very grateful for the support and hope you also subscribe to SCREAMBOX for more horror goodies from Bloody Disgusting.

Have you seen Terrifier 2 yet? What did you think? Where do you rank Lauren LaVera‘s Sienna on the list of horror’s best Final Girls? We’d love to hear any and all thoughts you have!

Filming is underway on The Invisible Man director Leigh Whannell’s Wolf Man for Universal and Blumhouse, which will be howling its way into theaters on January 17, 2025.

Deadline reports that Matilda Firth (Disenchanted) is the latest actor to sign on, joining Christopher Abbott (Poor Things),  Julia Garner (The Royal Hotel), and Sam Jaeger.

The project will mark Whannell’s second monster movie and fourth directing collaboration with Blumhouse Productions (The Invisible Man, Upgrade, Insidious: Chapter 3).

Wolf Man stars Christopher Abbott as a man whose family is being terrorized by a lethal predator.

Writers include Whannell & Corbett Tuck as well as Lauren Schuker Blum & Rebecca Angelo.

Jason Blum is producing the film. Ryan Gosling, Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner and Whannell are executive producers. Wolf Man is a Blumhouse and Motel Movies production.

In the wake of the failed Dark Universe, Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man has been the only real success story for the Universal Monsters brand, which has been struggling with recent box office flops including the comedic Renfield and period horror movie The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Giving him the keys to the castle once more seems like a wise idea, to say the least.
