‘Violent Night’ Featurette Gives a Look Inside the Violent Santa Claus Movie

While you wait for Violent Night to premiere in theaters on December 2, 2022, a brand new featurette video gives a look inside the spirited holiday action-comedy.

Violent Night stars David Harbour (“Stranger Things”) as an ass-kicking Santa Claus, with John Leguizamo playing the villain. Tommy Wirkola (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Dead Snow) directs.

Watch the brand new featurette below to get a feel for Harbour’s bone-crunching take on the jolly old elf, the violence, and the film’s underlying holiday magic. The actor describes the upcoming action-comedy as Die Hard meets Miracle on 34th Street, which sounds like Violent Night may be poised to become requisite holiday viewing.

In the film, “A team of elite mercenaries breaks into a wealthy family compound on Christmas Eve, taking everyone inside hostage. But the team isn’t prepared for a surprise combatant: Santa Claus (Harbour) is on the grounds, and he’s about to show why this Nick is no saint.”

To hell with “all is calm.”

Beverly D’Angelo (Christmas Vacation), Alex Haskell and Alexis Louder are also in the upcoming Focus Features movie, starring alongside Edi Patterson and Cam Gigandet.

Pat Casey and Josh Miller (Sonic) wrote the movie.

Kelly McCormick and David Leitch produced for 87North, the bare-knuckle producers of NobodyJohn WickAtomic BlondeDeadpool 2, Bullet Train and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.
