‘It Lives Inside’ Trailer – NEON Unleashes One of the Scariest Horror Trailers of the Year
It doesn’t kill you right away…it eats you slowly. From director Bishal Dutta and producers of Get Out, NEON has unleashed the official trailer for It Lives Inside this afternoon.
It Lives Inside is one to pay attention to this year, and the official trailer is sure to leave an unsettling impression. Check it out below and expect a release sometime in Fall 2023.

In It Lives Inside, “Sam is desperate to fit in at school, rejecting her Indian culture and family to be like everyone else. When a mythological demonic spirit latches onto her former best friend, she must come to terms with her heritage in order to defeat it.”
The initial inspiration for the film emerged from the filmmaker’s own childhood experience of being born in India before emigrating to be raised in America. The story draws heavily on both Indian demonic legend and a very personal family story from Dutta’s grandfather. The original screenplay was penned by Dutta based on a story by Dutta and Ashish Mehta.
Raymond Mansfield and Sean McKittrick of QC Entertainment produced, with NEON, Edward H. Hamm Jr, Jameson Parker, Arielle Voisvert, and Shawn Williamson executive producing.
Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) is staying busy here in 2024, directing not only the werewolf movie Big Bad but also an upcoming thriller titled Drop.
The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.
Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.
Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”
Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.
Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.
THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
