Jordan Peele Teases Next Movie; “Psyched” to Have Another Idea That Could Become His Personal Favorite
Jordan Peele burst onto the filmmaking scene back in 2017 with critical acclaim, box office success, and even a huge win at the Academy Awards, making Get Out one of the most promising debut features in the history of the horror genre. Peele proved he was the real deal with both Us in 2019 and later Nope in 2022, and he’s now hard at work on his fourth movie.
Universal Pictures recently bumped Jordan Peele’s untitled fourth movie from its original December 25, 2024 release date, and we haven’t been provided with a new date. The delay is due to last year’s SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, but Peele teases in a new chat with the Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend podcast that he’s excited to get back behind the camera this year.
“This has been…obviously, it’s been an interesting year because the writer’s strike had had me in a state of listening, and that’s where I need to be,” he explains in the new interview.
Peele continues, “I do feel like my next project is clear to me, and I’m psyched that I have another film that, you know, could be my favorite movie if I make it right.”
At this time we have no idea what to expect from Jordan Peele’s fourth movie, but we’re holding out hope that it will once again see Peele playing around in the horror space.
Stay tuned for more on Jordan Peele’s new movie as we learn it.
In addition to his directing work, Jordan Peele has spent the past several years producing a handful of projects. Those projects include the films BlacKkKlansman, Candyman (2021), and Wendell & Wild, as well as the TV shows “The Twilight Zone” and “Lovecraft Country.”
Peele is attached to produce a new take on Wes Craven’s The People Under the Stairs.

‘Hold the Fort’ Trailer Pits New Homeowners Against an Onslaught of Monsters
Sunrise Films has announced the official North American release of William Bagley‘s horror comedy Hold the Fort, and it’s accompanied by an energetic new trailer.
Hold the Fort debuts on digital platforms on June 23.
In the film, “Lucas and Jenny think their life is finally coming together when the couple become homeowners. Little do they know that their new house comes with a big catch. Lucas and Jenny soon find themselves in a fight for their lives when they become trapped in a battle between their Homeowners Association and an onslaught of monsters from hell. The horror-comedy takes the timely concern of home-ownership and wraps this up in an entertaining action-packed thrill ride.“
Watch the new trailer below, which introduces one wild HOA gathering during an equinox. Things get bloody fast.
Chris Mayers (Adult Swim Yule Log), Haley Leary (“The Walking Dead”), Levi Burdick, and Julian Smith star.
William Bagley writes and directs, in addition to producing with Smith, Matt Dodd, Luke Williams, and Tim Reis (Adult Swim Yule Log).
Ahead of the release, Bagley said, “My goal with this film was to make a hilarious, fast-paced thrill ride while also telling a great story with heart. Hopefully, through all the blood, laughs, fights, and gags, you leave the film feeling inspired to tackle whatever life throws at you.“
Hold the Fort premiered at Fantasia last summer before going on to play FrightFest London, Toronto After Dark, and Beyond Fest.
I wrote in my review, “It’s an infectiously charming assemblage of jokes and monster vignettes bound together by a barebones plot with not much on its mind beyond delivering an entertaining time.”
