‘Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey II’ – Watch the Trailer for Bigger, Bloodier Public Domain Horror Sequel
Last year’s viral hit Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is getting a sequel this year, and Jagged Edge Productions has released the film’s bloody official trailer this morning.
The team has promised that returning director Rhys Frake-Waterfield’s Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey II will be bigger, better and bloodier than the first film, with a higher budget allowing for both brand new creature designs and a higher kill count.
IGN debuted the trailer today, and you can watch it below.
Frake-Waterfield had teased the upcoming sequel last year, “This time Pooh and friends will be leaving the 100 Acre Wood to take their fight to the quiet community of Ashdown!”
The sequel will feature Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robin, Piglet, Owl and Tigger.
Here’s the official synopsis:
“Deep within the 100-Acre-Wood, a destructive rage grows as Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, Owl, and Tigger find their home and their lives endangered after Christopher Robin revealed their existence. Not wanting to live in the shadows any longer, the group decides to take the fight to the town of Ashdown, home of Christopher Robin, leaving a bloody trail of death and mayhem in their wake. Winnie and his savage friends will show everyone that they are deadlier, stronger, and smarter than anyone could ever imagine and get their revenge on Christopher Robin, once and for all.”
The cast for Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 includes Tallulah Evans, Scott Chambers (Doctor Jekyll) as Christopher Robin, Ryan Oliva (Seasoning House) as Winnie-the-Pooh, and Peter DeSouza-Feighoney (The Pope’s Exorcist) as Young Pooh.
Matt Leslie (Summer of 84) wrote the screenplay for the slasher sequel.
We’ve also been told that the upcoming sequel will crack Jagged Edge’s public domain horror universe wide open, teasing upcoming Pinocchio, Bambi and Peter Pan-based horror movies.

‘Hold the Fort’ Trailer Pits New Homeowners Against an Onslaught of Monsters
Sunrise Films has announced the official North American release of William Bagley‘s horror comedy Hold the Fort, and it’s accompanied by an energetic new trailer.
Hold the Fort debuts on digital platforms on June 23.
In the film, “Lucas and Jenny think their life is finally coming together when the couple become homeowners. Little do they know that their new house comes with a big catch. Lucas and Jenny soon find themselves in a fight for their lives when they become trapped in a battle between their Homeowners Association and an onslaught of monsters from hell. The horror-comedy takes the timely concern of home-ownership and wraps this up in an entertaining action-packed thrill ride.“
Watch the new trailer below, which introduces one wild HOA gathering during an equinox. Things get bloody fast.
Chris Mayers (Adult Swim Yule Log), Haley Leary (“The Walking Dead”), Levi Burdick, and Julian Smith star.
William Bagley writes and directs, in addition to producing with Smith, Matt Dodd, Luke Williams, and Tim Reis (Adult Swim Yule Log).
Ahead of the release, Bagley said, “My goal with this film was to make a hilarious, fast-paced thrill ride while also telling a great story with heart. Hopefully, through all the blood, laughs, fights, and gags, you leave the film feeling inspired to tackle whatever life throws at you.“
Hold the Fort premiered at Fantasia last summer before going on to play FrightFest London, Toronto After Dark, and Beyond Fest.
I wrote in my review, “It’s an infectiously charming assemblage of jokes and monster vignettes bound together by a barebones plot with not much on its mind beyond delivering an entertaining time.”
