Director Andrew Saullo Shares New Info on ‘Resident Evil’ Fan Series ‘Resurrection: A Biohazard Story’
Director Andrew Saullo (who directed the Resident Evil fan film The Keeper’s Diary: A Biohazard Story) has released new information for his follow-up web series, Resurrection: A Biohazard Story, as well as the first promo images. The series, which will not be tied to official Resident Evil canon (for copyright reasons), will have a crowdfunding campaign launch in the near future.
The series will reunite members of the cast of the original Resident Evil cutscenes in Charlie Kraslavsky, Greg Smith, Eric Pirius and Linda, who played Chris Redfield, Barry Burton, Albert Wesker and Rebecca Chambers, respectively.
Written by Adi Attavane, Resurrection: A Biohazard Story aims to deliver “an intense cinematic limited series,” bringing back the aforementioned cast of the Resident Evil live-action cinematics, but also legendary voices from the series, including Pablo Kuntz (Albert Wesker 1996 voice actor), Joe Whyte (2002 Chris Redfield/Richard Aiken), Ward Sexton (the Resident Evil title screen voice) and more.
The story concerns a new biohazard crisis in the small town of Rosa Enferma, Mexico. This time around, multiple parties, new and old, are involved. As our heroes investigate the new bioagent (and battle the undead), old memories resurface, including a nightmare “returning to his fleshly body, resurrected and whole.”
And as before, to get the necessary funding for production, Saullo and his group will be launching an Indiegogo campaign. Fans will have the opportunity to support the project and gain access to exclusive perks, behind-the-scenes content, and limited-edition merchandise.
“After the overwhelming success in the crowdfunding campaign and release of The Keeper’s Diary: A Biohazard Story, we wanted to throw our hat into the ring once more, and create an exclusive fan series that leans into Resident Evil like never before,” explains director Andrew Saullo. “We want to capture the tension, the horror, and the action that fans love, while delivering an original story that expands on the legacy of these actors in a meaningful way.”
Currently, the project is nearing the end of pre-production, with the crowdfunding campaign launching in the coming months. Details on the Indiegogo campaign, as well as updates on production, will be coming in the near future. In the meantime, you can follow the Residence of Evil X account for more info.

How to Watch ‘Cam’ Free Online After the Tech Thriller Left Netflix
Before updating the video nasty Faces of Death, director Daniel Goldhaber and writer Isa Mazzei explored the dangers of online life in tech-thriller Cam, their feature debut that was acquired by Netflix in 2018 after making waves on the festival circuit.
At the end of last year, the Netflix exclusive quietly departed from the streaming platform, left without another streaming home.
It’s not an isolated story; Mike Flanagan’s Hush also left streaming entirely for a period until it was finally picked up on both physical media and other streaming services.
While the tech-thriller currently isn’t available to watch on Netflix, Tubi, Hulu, or any other platforms, that’s not a problem for Cam thanks to a very cool move by Goldhaber: the director has made his breakout film accessible to watch online for free via his website.
As his site notes: “CAM is unfortunately not currently available to view on any platforms, so you can watch it here if you like :).“
No subscriptions or fees necessary, just hit play.
Cam follows Alice (Madeline Brewer), who works as an online cam girl obsessed with her ranking on the cam site. The higher her ranking goes, the more it draws unwanted attention, and Alice soon finds herself replaced on her own show with a doppelganger.
Written by Mazzei, a former camgirl, it uses the horror thriller premise to examine the life of a sex worker; Alice’s career ambition is directly at odds with the shame it brings to her family, and how she tries to spare them from it by keeping them in the dark. It only compounds her danger when the doppelganger enters the equation in Goldhaber’s engaging thriller.
For a deep dive into the treacherous world of Cam, listen to Horror Queers’ episode on it now.
