Kumail Nanjiani (Eternals), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Cocaine Bear), John Leguizamo (The Menu), and Dan Fogler (Fantastic Beasts) have been cast in All Day & All Night, Deadline reports.
They join the previously announced Josh Hartnett in the action thriller from director Tommy Wirkola (Dead Snow, Violent Night).
In the film, when his daughter gets into Harvard, reformed bank robber Billy Davies (Hartnett) returns to a life of crime to come up with the tuition money. But when the bank heist goes horribly wrong, he and his crew (Nanjiani, Jackson Jr.) accidentally stumble onto the set of a failing reality TV show.
Now Billy must stay on air long enough to figure out an escape plan from the cops (Leguizamo, Fogler) trying to arrest him and the mob trying to kill him, while the producers must keep the show on air long enough to boost their ratings and evade cancellation.
Wirkola penned the script with his The Trip co-writer John Niven.
“We’ve assembled a group of my dream actors to join Josh on this movie, and I can’t wait to see them bring life to our eclectic crew of characters,” said Wirkola. “It’s going to be a wild ride.”
Production is set for later this year, with Wirkola and Hartnett producing alongside Guy Danella of XYZ Films.
Up next from Wirkola is the shark attack movie Trash, on Netflix April 10, followed by Violent Night 2 in theaters December 4.
