After becoming Vietnam’s top grossing film of the year, Bunny!! is hopping over to North America.
The psychological thriller opens in select theaters in the US and Canada next Friday, March 27, via 3388 Films. Watch the trailer below.
In the film, a popular relationship advice host finds her carefully curated life upended when she meets a guest with a mysterious personal story, taking them both down a rabbit hole that leads to unimaginable consequences.
Tran Thanh directs from a script he co-wrote with Thao Nguyen. Tran Thanh Town, Galaxy Studio, and HK Film produce.
Thanh also stars alongside Pháo, Lyly, Văn Mai Hương, Quốc Anh, Vĩnh Đam, Pháp Kiều, Ali Hoàng Dương, Quang Thắng, Thanh Lam, BB Trần, Đinh Ngọc Diệp, Orange, Gil Lê, and Cris Phan.
“Tran Thanh dares to take risks,” 3388 founder Thien A. Pham tells Variety. “Bunny!! is a dark romance drama, what we may say is counter-programming; yet it was heavily favored by local audiences and the bet paid off tremendously, proving Tran Thanh has an uncanny pulse on his audience.”
Bunny!! opened in its native Vietnam last month with the highest single-day box office gross of all time in Vietnam, cementing its spot as the year’s highest-grossing film.
3388 will bring Bunny!! to Germany, Czech Republic, and Slovakia on March 26; the UK, Norway, and Poland on March 27; France on March 28; and Mongolia and Taiwan on May 22, with additional markets to be confirmed.
