It centers on a financially strapped family who are forced to allow their farm to be used to shoot a low-budget horror movie. The terror becomes real when a supernatural scarecrow is awakened.
Drawing inspiration from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Halloween, and the X trilogy, Crimzon Harvest was shot on location at a working farm in Blairstown, New Jersey — the same town where the original Friday the 13th was filmed.
Xander Goldman directs from a script by Christopher Michael Blake. Paul Sutt (Seed of Chucky, Van Helsing) handles the special effects.
The cast also includes Celia Spero, Mark Haynes (Stream), Angel Nichole Bradford (Crackoon), and Goldman as Earl the scarecrow.
