Theron stars as Sasha, a grieving adrenaline junkie testing her limits in the remote and unforgiving Australian wilderness. She suddenly finds herself not only up against the elements, but also facing off against a ruthless and lethal predator.
Taron Egerton (Carry-On) plays the killer, with Eric Bana (Deliver Us from Evil) rounding out the cast.
Baltasar Kormákur (Everest, 2 Guns) directs from a script by Jeremy Robbins (“The Purge”).
Theron produces alongside Beth Kono and AJ Dix via their newly launched Secret Menu, along with Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, & David Ready for Chernin Entertainment, Ian Bryce for Ian Bryce Productions, and Kormákur for RVK Studios.
Executive producers include Ray Angelic, Will McCance, and Dawn Olmstead for Secret Menu.
Apex is rated R for “some strong violence, grisly images, nudity, and language.”
