Director Robert Rodriguez will celebrate the 30th anniversary of From Dusk Till Dawn with a special event in his hometown of San Antonio, TX.
The 1996 will screen at the Aztec Theatre on June 12 with Rodriguez in person for a Q&A and a performance with his rock band Chingon.
Featuring Rodriguez on guitar, Chingon composed the score for Machete and have had their music featured in Planet Terror, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Kill Bill, and “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series.”
In From Dusk Till Dawn, two outlaw brothers on a wild crime spree bring their kidnapping victims to a seedy Mexican bar to hide out, only to come face to face with blood-sucking vampires.
George Clooney, Quentin Tarantino (who wrote the script), Harvey Keitel, Juliette Lewis, and Salma Hayek star. The cast also includes Cheech Marin, Fred Williamson, Tom Savini, and Danny Trejo.
Tickets for the 30th anniversary celebration go on sale this Friday, April 3, at 10am CDT.
VIP meet and greets will also be available, which includes photos with Rodriguez’s screen-used props: Clooney’s jackhammer and Lewis’ Crossbow.
