‘Blair Witch Project’ & ‘Scare Tactics’ Creators to Produce Horror Film ‘Experiment 11’
The Blair Witch Project creators/producers Eduardo Sanchez and Gregg Hale will executive produce Experiment 11, Deadline has learned.
“Scare Tactics” creator Kevin Healey is writing and directing the film, which is set inside a mysterious medical research facility where a group of participants are forced into a rapidly escalating experiment with consequences tied to the future of humanity.
Healey will produce alongside High Park Entertainment’s Eric Birnberg, Thomas Walden, Thomas Vencelides, & Lainie Elton. Executive producers include Sanchez, hale, Corey Tindall & Carson Howell of Tillt Studios and Anthony Standberry of iThink Productions.
“I’ve spent much of my career exploring the intersection of horror, realism, and social experimentation, so Experiment 11 feels like the culmination of everything I love creatively,” said Healey. “This film is ambitious, experimental, psychologically intense, and designed to blur the line between cinematic storytelling and reality in a way audiences haven’t experienced before.”
Experiment 11 is set to start production next month in Canada. Prestige International Pictures will introduce the project to international buyers at this week’s Cannes film market.
Sanchez and Hale are also executive producing Lionsgate and Blumhouse-Atomic Monster’s new Blair Witch Project movie alongside fellow alumni Daniel Myrick, Joshua Leonard, and Michael C. Williams.

‘Brine’ – Jennifer Holland Starring in Supernatural Civil War Thriller
Jennifer Holland (“Peacemaker”) and Dave Annable (“Lioness”) will lead the cast of upcoming supernatural Civil War thriller Brine, Deadline reports this afternoon.
B.J. Golnick (“Hunting Hitler”) will be directing Brine.
Brine follows a family of Confederate deserters who escape the Union bombardment of Fort Pulaski with a cache of stolen gold and disappear into the Georgia marshlands.
When they take refuge in a remote plantation house, what first appears to be salvation slowly reveals itself as part of something ancient, predatory and impossible to escape.
Jonah Wharton (Lioness), Sissy Sheridan (Chicken Girls), and Grayson Lay (Outer Banks) also star. The screenplay was written by B.J. Golnick and Jeremy Miller.
“Brine is a story about survival, but it is also a story about inheritance…The violence we pass down, the myths we create to justify it, and the cost of trying to break free,” Golnick previews.
“We intend for the film to feel intimate, historically grounded and deeply unnerving, as if the supernatural elements weren’t invented, but unearthed from the marsh itself.”
