Norwegian director Magnus Martens (There’s Something in the Barn, “Fear the Walking Dead”) will helm the high-concept survival thriller No Way Down, Deadline reports.
George Mahaffey (Icefall) penned the script, but plot details have not been revealed. Principal photography is slated for later 2026.
Addam Bramich (The Beast Within) is producing. Nick Remy Matthews (Last Breath, I.S.S.) will serve as director of photography.
“This is a story that demands to be told at scale — on screen and in cinemas,” said Bramich. “We’re excited to bring audiences something that genuinely gets under their skin.”
No Way Down reunites the core creative team behind the forthcoming shark thriller Zipline, which Black Bear is launching at the Cannes film market, currently underway.
“We had something genuinely special with the team we assembled on Zipline,” Bramich added. “Magnus, George, and Nick are amongst the most talented collaborators we’ve worked with. When the right material came along, bringing them back together was an easy decision.”
