The official trailer for Adam Wingard’s new A24 movie Onslaught is now playing only in theaters ahead of Backrooms, but we’ve learned that it’s coming online this week.
A24 will bring the Onslaught trailer online tomorrow, June 2.
Check out two official posters below. The posters feature two different taglines: “To stop a killing machine, you must become one,” and “They unleashed their deadliest weapon on us.”
Onslaught will release in theaters September 4, 2026.
The duo behind The Guest, director Adam Wingard and writer Simon Barrett, are re-teaming for the upcoming Onslaught, which stars Adria Arjona in the leading role.
Adria Arjona plays character tasked with taking down an unstoppable force that has escaped from a secret military base, and it’s said to be “a gonzo action horror thriller.”
When the project was originally announced, it was noted that it would bring Adam Wingard back to his horror roots, making it more in line with films including A Horrible Way to Die, You’re Next and The Guest than his recent big budget studio pictures including the last two installments in the MonsterVerse, Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
Rebecca Hall (The Night House, Godzilla x Kong) and Dan Stevens (The Guest) also star in Adam Wingard’s upcoming new movie Onslaught alongside Michael Biehn, Reginald VelJohnson, Eric Wareheim, Drew Starkey, and Alex “Poatan” Pereira.
In addition to The Guest, Simon Barrett wrote You’re Next for Wingard to direct, with Barrett more recently scripting the recent action-horror movie Azrael starring Samara Weaving.
