Kumail Nanjiani is making his directorial debut with the horror-comedy Howl, and Deadline reports this afternoon that Amazon MGM Studios’ Orion Pictures has landed the rights.
In addition to directing, Kumail Nanjiani will also star in Howl.
Deadline details, “Howl follows a famous but notoriously troubled actor who announces on a talk show that in less than an hour, he’ll turn into a werewolf… on live TV.”
Madison Vanderberg wrote the screenplay, which was featured on the 2024 Black List.
Weed Road Pictures and Winter Coat Films will produce the werewolf comedy.
