Inde Navarrette To Face Killer Crocs And Aliens In ‘The Waffle House Index’ For Apple Original Films

Inde Navarrette joins The Waffle House Index

Obsession

Obsession breakout star Inde Navarrette has landed her next genre role, one that’ll put her in even more extremes in Apple Original Films’ sci-fi thriller The Waffle House Index, THR reports.

Those familiar with the American restaurant chain, Waffle House, are likely familiar with its use as an informal storm metric known as theWaffle House Index.

It’s even included on the chain’s official site.

It details,Green means the restaurant is serving a full menu, a signal that damage in an area is limited and the lights are on.  Yellow means a limited menu, indicating power from a generator, at best, and low food supplies.  Red means the restaurant is closed, a sign of severe damage in the area or unsafe conditions.

Well, expect the full scale to be employed in the feature film screenplay by Andrew Nunnelly

Navarrette stars as aWaffle House waitress whose already bad day gets worse when a stranger with a gun shows up during her night shift. What happens after involves a mass flood, killer crocodiles, a nuclear explosion, a magical bunker under the Waffle House, and aliens.

Waffle House is frequently a beacon of hope and solace during natural disasters in the South, though the fictional version will clearly weather far worse storms than usual.

Louis Paxton, whose ultra-charming folk tale feature The Incomer is releasing later this month, is set to direct.

Navarrette’s also set to star as Rogue in Marvel’s upcoming X-Men feature, while her Obsession character Nikki becomes a Halloween Horror Nights free-roaming character in Hollywood.
