Matilda Lutz (Revenge) stars in the upcoming spider horror movie Crawlers, and ahead of the film’s theatrical release on October 16, the official MPA rating has arrived this week.
Crawlers is Rated R for “violent content/bloody images, language and brief sexual material.”
Roadside Attractions and Saban Films are unleashing Crawlers in theaters this October.
Matilda Lutz stars as Serena, the overworked and underappreciated manager of the Paradiso Palms apartment complex who finds herself inundated by lethal eight-legged critters.
In Crawlers, “a catastrophic infestation of venomous and deadly spiders sends an apartment building into lockdown.
“Trapped inside by a police-mandated quarantine, Serena and her residents battle to survive as the creatures multiply by the second. Armed with her intimate knowledge of the complex, Serena may be the only one who can keep them alive—if she can confront her deepest fear.”
Angel Gómez Hernández (Don’t Listen) directs from a script by Jayson Rothwell (Silent Night).
Crawlers marks the first feature from Badlands, the new collaboration between Basil Iwanyk & Erica Lee’s Thunder Road (John Wick, Sicario) and Scott Strauss (Resident Evil, Underworld).
