Jane Levy makes her return to the horror genre early next year in the acclaimed slasher movie River, but it was of course Fede Alvarez’s Evil Dead back in 2013 that forever made Levy a fan favorite here in the world of horror. Jane Levy’s Mia is easily the most beloved character from the franchise in the past decade plus, with fans often demanding the character’s return.
Mia did ultimately survive the events of Evil Dead 2013, after all…
But how does Jane Levy feel about a potential return to the franchise? Well, at the very least, the actress is curious to know what YOU think about Mia someday returning to the big screen.
“I have a question. Do you guys think Mia should come back to Evil Dead?” she asked during an on-stage Q&A after a screening of Alvarez’s Evil Dead this week. Naturally, the crowd erupted in approval and applause. Levy responded to that fan reaction, “Okay cool, just checking. That’s all.”
Levy then joked, “Let’s call Sam’s Skype number right now and see if he wants Mia to come back.” The ‘Sam’ that Levy is referring to is of course Sam Raimi, the franchise’s creator and producer.
Of course, we have to note here that none of this is confirmation of any sort that Mia is ever coming back to life on screen, so we don’t want anyone to get the wrong idea here. But it at least seems like Jane Levy is open to the idea, and Evil Dead fans are clearly on board as well.
So for now we’ll say… you never know?! Stay tuned…
