Science Meets the Supernatural in First Look at Horror Movie ‘The Temple’

An orphaned millionaire turns to science to communicate with his dead parents in the first look image for The Temple, which has recently wrapped production in Canada, per Screen Daily.

Cory Michael Smith (Slayground) and Daniel Zolghadri (If I Had Legs I’d Kick You) star in the upcoming horror movie.

Zolghadri plays Jonathan Baby, the orphaned millionaire “who enlists the help of a radiation scientist to communicate with the ghosts of his parents, who believes he has found the ghosts of his dead parents in an abandoned church and enlists a radiation scientist to help him communicate with them. However, he discovers his parents are trapped in hell and desperate to return to the world of the living.“

Vic Carmen Sonne (The Girl with the Needle) and Tamara Podemski (“Murderbot”) also star.

Canadian filmmaking duo Calvin Thomas & Yonah Lewis (White Lie) are directing from a script they co-wrote with editor/composer Lev Lewis.

“A year after my mother’s death, I moved into the house she died in,” Yonah Lewis explains. “I don’t believe in ghosts, but I quickly found myself wondering if I would feel her presence at all. Almost hoping for it. This quickly sparked an idea for Calvin and me. What if someone wasn’t afraid of the ghosts? What if that person wanted to be in that haunted house?”

Thomas and Lewis produce via their Lisa Pictures alongside Lindsay Tapscott & Katie Bird Nolan of Babe Nation Films, Alison Almeida, and Ryan Bobkin.

Neil Mathieson of Arbitrage Pictures, Elevation Pictures, and Urban Post Productions executive produce.
