Surgical Meth Machine’s Al Jourgensen Shares His Top 10 Horror Movies!

We’ve been having fun with April Fool’s Day and all the jocularity and ridiculousness that comes along with it. It’s a joy each year to do something that goes against the grain, something that we think puts a smile on your faces and hopefully elicits a few laughs. However, it turns out we’re not the only ones who want do a bit of trolling!

I was approached by the PR team behind Surgical Meth Machine the new solo project from Al Jourgensen (Ministry), and they wanted to discuss some ideas on how we could promote the self-titled album, which comes out April 15th via Nuclear Blast. Naturally, I wanted to learn more about Jourgensen and his horror movie passions, if he had any. So I asked if we could get him to whip up his Top 10 Horror Films.

To my surprise, he obliged! I got an email back with the list and a message that it was going to be “a little different”. Lo and behold, it turned out that Jourgensen played his own little prank on us! However, I love it so much that I’m going to share it with all of you!

So, without further ado, here are Al Jourgensen’s Top 10 Horror Films!

#1 The Danish Girl
#2 Hail Ceaser
#3 The Godfather 3
#4 Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome
#5 All James Bond films after Sean Connery
#6 Gravity
#7 A.I. (Artificial Intelligence)
#8 All super hero movies
#9 99.9% of all sequels and remakes…except Aliens and Godfather 2
#10 All “horror”movies not made by Dario Argento

These were listed in no particular order yet all were horrifying to me…..horrifying in the sense I actually spent money to see them, except #7 in which I got paid to be in and still was horrified after seeing it.
