All the talk over the past few months of a sequel to the 1982 sci-fi noir film Blade Runner has gotten me extremely excited. I’m a huge fan of the first film (my 5-DVD briefcase special edition of the film looks over my living room), so all of it is just thrilling. And because I’ve been feeling that rush, I wanted to share it with you in a rather different yet absolutely related way.
That’s why this edition of TMVOTW is none other than White Zombie‘s “More Human Than Human”, a song that directly references Scott’s brilliant movie with the lyrics, “I am the nexus one/I want more life fucker/I ain’t done, yeah“. Those lyrics are directly tied to this scene. Plus, White Zombie’s video is pure early 90’s greatness and that alone gives it a reason to be shared.
