For this edition of Twisted Music Video of the Week, I wanted to bring you The Ominous Exhibit‘s “Elixir”, a fun video that reminded me of that side-scroller puzzle platform game Limbo. Animated by Joey Siler, who is also responsible for the vocals and backing keys, the black-and-white video is an interesting concept, showing The Grim Reaper as the entity that feeds and essentially helps evolve damned souls into demons.
It’s a dark, rather sinister video that offers no hope, no glimmer of safety. No matter how far you run, no matter how hard you struggle, Death comes for us all. But it’s what comes afterwards that may be the most frightening journey of all.
