This weekend has been trying for a lot of us in some way, shape, or form. For many, the San Diego Comic Con is taking up a great deal of time and energy. For others, the stress of all the politics we’re being subjected to is probably leaving you exhausted, angry, and frustrated. And for others still, it’s just been a long week at work during a hot summer.
No matter what’s been making it hard this week, I feel it’s time to kick back and relax a little bit. But considering the nature of this series, you’ll hopefully understand that I’m still going to make it a little dark! That’s why this edition of Twisted Music Video of the Week is Getter‘s “Forget It” video, which was directed by Liam Underwood and stars Yudi Sabin and Zach Nell.
The video follows a man who is racked with guilt after he nods off while driving and an accident leaves the woman he loves dead. He turns to science to try and recreate her but it constantly fails and he’s left with a growing pile of bodies that all resemble her, much like that scene in Resident Evil: Extinction where we see tons of Alice bodies.
It’s a wonderfully shot video and there is clearly a lot of effort put into creating something emotional and powerful. I guess no matter what you do, the past is the past and it can never be recreated with any degree of perfection…
