Listen to This Atmospheric Synthwave Cover of the ‘Dark Souls’ Menu Theme

It’s been less than a week since From Software release its latest life-draining game with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (it’s just a bit good by the way) and the love for the Japanese developer is on a high right now.

It feels like a good time to celebrate its gaming catalog, and musician Mono Memory has done just that with another cracking synthwave cover.

This time it’s for ‘Souls of Fire’, the Dark Souls menu music, arguably one of the finest tracks in the Souls series. While Dark Souls may be set in a Dark Fantasy world, its music suits a synthy style pretty well.

Mono Memory specializes in doing covers of video game music, particularly those of a horror leaning. Check out their channel for interpretations of music from games such as Resident Evil 2 and Death Stranding (though my personal fave is their Chemical Plant Zone cover from Sonic 2).
