Now streaming on Netflix, Bloody Disgusting has an exclusive clip from Blumhouse’s Thriller.
Dallas Jackson’s film is set in Compton, where a prank-gone-horribly-wrong creates a slasher maniac and the bodies begin to pile up. In the clip, the maniac stalks down a victim and bashes him to death with a baseball bat.
“Thriller follows the story of an introverted young man named Chauncey Page who is sent to juvenile hall after he accidentally kills a young woman who is part of a group of tormentors that play a cruel prank on him. Years later he is released and is back for revenge — and blood — as Chauncey (Jason Woods) serves up some murderous karma as the group, now in high school, gets ready for Homecoming. Dressed in a hoodie and a menacing glare, he terrorizes them picks them off one by one.”
Thriller stars actress/model Jessica Allain and the ensemble cast includes Mykelti Williamson (Forrest Gump), Luke Tennie (SYFY’s Deadly Class), Tequan Richmond(Ray), Paige Hurd (Everybody Hates Chris), Chelsea Rendon (Starz’ Vida), Mitchell Edwards (The First Purge), Pepi Sonuga (Famous in Love), Jason Woods (Proven Innocent), Maestro Harrell (The Wire), and Michael Ocampo (Shooter).
In addition, today, 36 Chambers ALC releases the soundtrack for Blumhouse Productions (Get Out, Insidious) new slasher, Thriller, directed by Dallas Jackson, and co-starring RZA.
Taking a page out from Shaolin Land, the 14 track body of work gives spooky wordplay and classic production thrills comprised of Wu-Tang brothers RZA, Ghostface Killah and Cappadonna, as well as rising artists Earth, Hue Hef, Ol Dirty Bastard’s son YDB, the Hoodies and more.
RZA executive produced the jam-packed soundtrack and also includes his latest original score which sets the mood for the film.
