This New Trailer for Crysis 2 Has Me All Excited

Published

on

Crysis 2 is a paltry two months away, less than that even, but if you find your impatience getting the better of you I suggest watching this rather sexy new trailer for the game. It’s also important to note the game’s demo is out now on the Xbox 360 so if you’re still on the fence about whether or not you like controlling a badass dude who curb stomps aliens you can see if it’s your cup ‘o tea.

The game’s due out on March 23 in The States and two days later for those across the pond and unlike its predecessor the game’s multiplatform so you can get your Crysis fix whether you own a PS3, 360 or PC. Head past the break for the minimum specs for playing it on the latter as well as that trailer I was talking about.

For my PC bretheren, here are the minimum specs this game will require of your computer:

– Internet connection required for activation
– OS: XP/Vista/Windows 7
– CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2Ghz, AMD Athlon 64 x2 2Ghz or better
– 2 GB RAM
– HDD: 9 GB
– DVD ROM: 8x
– GPU: NVIDIA 8800 GT 512MB RAM, ATI 3850HD 512Mb RAM or better
– Keyboard, mouse, or Microsoft Xbox 360 controller for Windows

Can your computer handle that?

Legendary Grimdark ‘Warhammer 40,000’ Artist John Blanche Has Passed Away at 78

In the grim darkness of the far future there is only war, but it was a cheerful illustrator from England who helped to define the terrifying war-torn imagery that inspired what we now know as Grimdark (a hybrid genre combining horror with sci-fi/fantasy).

Unfortunately for fans of Warhammer 40,000, Trench Crusade and countless other sources of Grimdark thrills, veteran artist John Blanche passed away this week after struggling with health issues for the past few years.

While the artist retired back in 2023, he leaves us with an enormous legacy of iconic artwork that continues to inspire gamers and storytellers around the world to this very day.

The news is especially gloomy as it was only last year that Daniel Lowman and Napoleon Dynamite himself Jon Heder released The Grim & the Dark: The Search for John Blanche, a documentary following Heder’s exploration of the Grimdark genre culminating in a heartwarming encounter with Blanche in his own home.

Below is one of my favorite pieces by Blanche, his highly influential depiction of Warhammer 40k’s God-Emperor of Mankind on his Golden Throne.

We send our deepest condolences to John Blanche’s family, friends, and fans.
