AMERICAN ZOMBIE: Cinema Libre

Despite their wildly different working styles, Grace and John manage to chronicle the hopes and dreams of four fascinating subjects: Ivan, a convenience-store clerk who longs for a career in publishing; Lisa, a florist trying to recover her lost memories; Judy, a hopeless romantic who learns to accept her true nature; and Joel, a committed political activist advocating for zombie rights. As Grace strives to get to know the zombies “on their own terms,” John is eager to uncover their darker side and rallies to get the crew permission to shoot at a three-day, zombies-only retreat called Live Dead where the documentary takes an unexpected – and dangerous – turn. What transpires there is beyond anything the filmmakers could imagine, as they are forced to re-evaluate their ideas about tolerance, identity politics and the future of the human race.

A trio of construction workers breaks ground on what is said to be Indian holy ground. CRIMSON: Passion River

A group of party-hungry nursing students stumble upon a bloodied and battered woman named Sammi in an alley. Going against their better judgment, they decide to take her back to their better judgment, they decide to take her back to their sorority house for medical attention. They soon realize, however, that this isn’t a harmless stray. Sammi is on the run from a vampire cult, led by the murderous Rachel.

Five friends descend on an abandoned building to shoot a documentary about its supposed haunted origins, but all is not as it seems. It turns out instead that the leader of the group actually brought them there to search for cursed buried treasure that his freemason grandfather had supposedly left. When one unfortunate soul opens a door to a darker dimension, a demon is released and begins to kill each of them one-by-one. Will anyone escape alive, or has The Key opened the door straight to hell?

PHILOSOPHY OF A KNIFE: Unearthed

The true history of Japanese Unit 731, from its beginnings in the 1930’s to its demise in 1945, and the subsequent trials in Khabarovsk, USSR, of many of the Japanese doctors from Unit 731. The facts are told, and previously unknown evidence is revealed by an eyewitness to these events, former doctor and military translator, Anatoly Protasov.
