First Look at ‘Fading of the Cries’

This evening we scored the first ever stills from FADING OF THE CRIES, starring Elaine Hendrix, Thomas Nichols and Brad Dourif (best know as Chucky in the CHILD’S PLAY franchise). Directed by Brian Metcalf the plot centers on a young man who defends his town from evil forces, aided by a magic sword. The Aspect produced film is now in post and is budgeted around $5 million.

Old release info: Actress, ELAINE HENDRIX (The Beacon, Food For Thought) has just signed on to the fantasy horror film FADING OF THE CRIES which is written/directed by BRIAN METCALF. There currently aren’t many details on the project, but it is said to revolve around a small town that comes under attack of human-like creatures being led by horror icon, BRAD DOURIF. Hendrix is playing one of the lead female roles, “Maggie”. When asked to describe her character her reply is, “She is a sister racked with guilt and mother determined to redeem herself.” Shooting is currently underway in Los Angeles, CA and is expected for release in 2010. Hendrix recently won Best Actress at the DUKE CITY SHOOTOUT FESTIVAL for her role as Ms. Priss in the zombie flick “Food for Thought”. Her supernatural horror film, “The Beacon” co-starring Teri Polo is slated for release sometime next year and she is also slated to star alongside Michael Pare’ and Nichelle Nichols in the horror film DAVID written and directed by Christopher White.

‘Mind Body Spirit’ Exclusive Trailer – Get Twisted with Found Footage Yoga Horror Movie in May

A yoga influencer discovers just how flexible fear can be in Mind Body Spirit, a new found footage horror movie that Welcome Villain Films is bringing to the table in a couple weeks.

Mind Body Spirit will release on Digital outlets May 7.

“But what starts as a spiritual self-help guide evolves into something much more sinister. As Anya becomes obsessed with the mysterious power of the practice, she unwittingly unleashes an otherworldly entity that begins to take control of her life – and her videos. Now Anya must race to unlock the truth, before her descent into madness threatens to consume her mind, body and spirit. By the time she reveals the true nature of the ritual, will it be too late?”

Mind Body Spirit was written and directed by Alex Henes & Matthew Merenda.
