Paramount Removes ‘Case 39’ From 2009 Lineup
I wonder why Paramount Pictures doesn’t just send the movie to DVD, it’s obvious that there’s no fixing Case 39, Christian Alvart’s follow-up to ANTIBODIES that has been collecting dust for over two years now. While the film was included in our 2009 preview piece with a release of April 10 planned, Paramount announced today that they have pulled the film off the 2009 radar completely. The film, which was to “redefine” Paramount at one point, centers on an idealistic social worker (Zellweger) who saves an abused 10-year-old girl from her parents only to discover that things are not as they appear.
The Fall franchise heads to a new location with new characters in the upcoming Fall 2: Deadpoint, and a brand new official poster has been unleashed this morning.
Additionally, a new Fall 2 trailer is promised for tomorrow. Stay tuned.
Releasing in theaters on September 2, 2026, horror sequel Fall 2: Deadpoint is rated PG-13 for “strong language, some violent content/bloody images and drug material.”
Harriet Slater (Tarot) stars in the upcoming Fall 2: Deadpoint alongside Arsema Thomas (“Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story”) and Tom Brittney (Greyhound).
Michael & Peter Spierig (Predestination, Jigsaw) direct Fall 2: Deadpoint from a script by Fall writers Scott Mann (who also directed the original) and Jonathan Frank.

Fall 3 has already been greenlit, with Mann returning to the director’s chair. The first Fall was a surprise hit in theaters, scaring up $18 million at the worldwide box office back in 2022.
