We got word this evening that Miramax’s remake of Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark is scheduled to begin filming this May in Australia. Being produced by Guillermo del Toro from a script he co-wrote with Matthew Robbins, Troy Nixey is on deck to direct. Here’s the synopsis being used as of right now: Trapped in a hidden basement, the vicious supernatural occupants of a mysterious Victorian mansion hunger for new victims.
