More Genre Vets Join ‘Alluvial’ Cast

Carlee Baker (“Wicked Lake”) is set to star alongside Ken Lally (Heroes, Enterprise) and R.A. Mihailoff (“Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3”) in the Fire Sign Films production of Alluvial, which we first told you about here (with storyboards) earlier this month. Read on for more details and watch for even more casting news when it comes in
Produced and directed by Geza Decsy and co-written and produced by Sean Decker and Jack Ulrich, “Alluvial” centers around the downward spiral of seven friends who, while camping in the god-forsaken badlands of Panamint Valley, contract a mysterious illness; one which causes them to turn on one another in a brutal display of skewed emotions and primal rage.

Carlee offers not only a genre pedigree,” says director Decsy, “she brings to Alluvial a sweet charisma and quietly unhinged quality that fully embodies what we wanted for the role of Eileen. Still, serious character work aside; she’s also promised her fans that she’ll “rock the side boob better than anyone“! How can you not just adore that kind of dedication to the art?

Gunner Wright (“G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra“), Heather Snell (“The Poughkeepsie Tapes“), and Deacon Conroy (“A Marine Story“) have also been attached to headline in leading roles.

We’ve assembled a stellar cast that certainly isn’t lacking in the looks department,” says Decsy, “but what truly intrigues me more than anything is their strong individual personalities. In the course of just two auditions, they all let us see those quirks, flaws or hidden damage that make us human. That vulnerability is exactly what I’ll need to draw on as a director to make this story that much more painfully real to the audience.

Alluvial begins filming in late fall.
