Joining the Spectrum section of the International Film Festival Rotterdam (January 27 – February 7) is Simon Rumley’s (The Living and the Dead) UK thriller Red White & Blue, a “slacker revenge movie” set in contemporary Austin, starring Noah Taylor (Shine, Alice in Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Vanilla Sky), Amanda Fuller (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Bones,” Women’s Murder Club) and Marc Senter (The Lost, Cabin Fever 2). The gruesome shadow side of the kindness of strangers. An initially natural portrait of the cool and promiscuous Erica from Austin turns into an intense film of revenge.
