‘Red White & Blue’ Selected for International Film Festival Rotterdam
Joining the Spectrum section of the International Film Festival Rotterdam (January 27 – February 7) is Simon Rumley’s (The Living and the Dead) UK thriller Red White & Blue, a “slacker revenge movie” set in contemporary Austin, starring Noah Taylor (Shine, Alice in Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Vanilla Sky), Amanda Fuller (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Bones,” Women’s Murder Club) and Marc Senter (The Lost, Cabin Fever 2). The gruesome shadow side of the kindness of strangers. An initially natural portrait of the cool and promiscuous Erica from Austin turns into an intense film of revenge. From Magnificent Films and Silent D Pictures, director Sean Cronin’s vampire movie Bogieville is headed to the Cannes market, and Bloody Disgusting has been exclusively provided with the bloody teaser trailer this afternoon. Sink your fangs into this first look trailer below.
Deadline first reported on Bogieville earlier this week, describing the upcoming film as a “southern fried vampire thriller.” And the vamps in this one look pretty gnarly, with their shark-like teeth reminding us a bit of the bloodsuckers in Radio Silence’s new movie Abigail.
In the film, “A young couple on the run come across the eponymous derelict American trailer park, where they soon learn that the residents are a pack of blood-thirsty vampires.”
Arifin Putra (The Raid 2) and Eloise Lovell Anderson (Villain) star alongside Cronin.
Henry P. Gravelle wrote the screenplay.
