The film is described as “a hyper-violent crime thriller featuring Italian horror icon Giovanni Lombardo Radice (Gates of Hell, Cannibal Ferox). Written & Directed by Darren Ward, Violence is “undoubtedly one of the most uncompromising & gritty features to emerge from the UK in 25 years,” so the press release claims. Influenced by British & Italian violent crime thrillers of the 70’s, and with parallels to The Long Good Friday, and Lucio Fulci’s The Smuggler (Luca il Contrabbandiere) it weaves a dark tale of violence, life and death in the underworld. UK sales agents JINGA FILMS have picked the film up worldwide and now are looking for distribution.
