It was announced a few weeks back that director Tim Burton would be teaming with Russian director Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted, Night Watch) on a live-action adaptation of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, a bizarre twisted novel by Seth Grahame-Smith now in stores from Grand Central Publishing. No other details were revealed. Today, Grahame-Smith revealed to Wicked Local that he will actually be adapting his own novel. “I’m actually writing the screenplay for him and a couple of other producers, so that’s what I’m in the middle of right now,” he explained. Set during the civil war, the book follows the 16th President of the United States as he hunts down and kills vampires. Effin’ sweet.
