‘Stresseurs’ Retrace the Steps of a Serial Killer

Stresseurs will be the first feature length movie directed by Olivier Beguin, a Swiss director who made several shorts. With his first film TIME WITH NYENNE (2000), he notably received the H.R. Giger “Narcisse”, award for best Swiss short at the first edition of the Neuchatel International Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF). With his latest short DEAD BONES (2008), featuring Ken Foree and Arie Verveen, Olivier Beguin was selected in more than 65 festivals around the world.

While he is developing the feature version of DEAD BONES, Olivier Beguin will produce and direct STRESSEURS, a film which uses the survival and slasher codes in order to offer an original take on the serial killer figure. The script is being written by french screenwriters Karim Chériguène and Jean-Philippe Certa, based upon an idea by Beguin and Chériguène.

Five students in criminology motivated by various objectives embark on a road trip on the footsteps of a serial killer who vanished 25 years ago; They will soon give up to their most primal impulses.

STRESSEURS is an independent and low budget film. However, it has a certain ambition, since it aims at an international cast and a shoot in Switzerland, France and Europe. The project will be shot at the end of the year and will be finished by fall 2011.
