SPOILER WARNING! If you are planning on watching Showtime’s “Dexter” I urge you to avoid reading this – and to do it STAT. When the fourth season came to an end, we were hit with the shocker that the “Trinity Killer” (John Lithgow) had murdered Dexter’s wife, Rita (Julie Benz). It was revealed today that Benz will be returning for the fifth season, obviously in the form of flashback sequences. In addition, Julia Stiles has officially joined the cast. She will appear in 10 episodes in the upcoming season, playing “a mysterious young woman who forms a unique relationship with Dexter (Michael C. Hall) in the wake of the death of his wife.” Intriguing.
