A big week of releases includes Dexter: The Fourth Season and the much-anticipated tiger-loose-in-a-house flick, Burning Bright. For the volume obsessed horror fan Mill Creek Entertainment is releasing eight, count `em, eight compilations this week, including two double feature Blu-Ray releases. Hooray! Also on the docket for this week, two films (The Lost Skeleton Returns Again and Dark and Stormy Night) from modern day B-movie specialist, Larry Blamire.

BURNING BRIGHT: Lions Gate
After her mother’s death, Kelly (Briana Evigan) is left to care for her autistic brother; meanwhile her stepfather poaches her college fund to buy a tiger. Exacerbating the situation further, a fierce hurricane is heading towards her home. Even worse, Kelly and her brother become trapped inside the house with the hungry man-eating predator. Together they must fight for their lives in a deadly game of (very large) cat and mouse.
MICAH SAYS: The plot may sound ridiculous, but this film is garnering excellent reviews since premiering at FrightFest 2010 in the UK. Personally, I can’t wait to get my paws on this flick.

MICAH SAYS: Thank you Mill Creek! It’s about damn time more direct-to-disc horror is released in Blu-Ray format. I, for one, hope the folks at Mill Creek focus on more Blu-Ray horror and less retread compilation discs.
