Original ‘Pin’ Director Returns for Remake
A few months back a bunch of friends and myself discussed how a remake to Sandor Stern’s 1988 horror flick Pin would be crazy awesome, so it comes as no shock that one is currently in development. Bloody Disgusting has exclusively confirmed that Stern will be returning to direct and co-write, alongside Jack Reher (writer of the forthcoming Red Machine and Edge of the Unknown), a redo of the creepy doll movie. What’s different is that the duo will be scripting a movie based on Andrew Neiderman’s novel of the same name. Neiderman is also known for writing the classic “The Devil’s Advocate”. Stern wrote the original The Amityville Horror. Meet Pin, a harmless, mute and lifeless fantasy in little Leon’s mind – a fantasy that initially took form when Leon’s father imparted life lessons to him through the use of anatomical dummy. At first a source of amusement and comfort, Pin demonically evolves into the object of Leon’s mad fixation. Soon, Leon and Pin quietly but thoroughly eliminate anyone who intrudes into their private world.
Spider One (Bury the Bride, Little Bites) is back in the director’s chair for this year’s Big Baby, a meta slasher that sees Brandon Scott (Dead to Me) puppeteering slasher kills in our exclusive teaser debut.
Brainstorm Media will release the film on VOD on August 7, 2026.
In the upcoming slasher, “A nightmare involving a maniac killer in a baby mask serves as inspiration for horror screenwriter Adam Lewis’s new script. As more nightmares, visions, and real life terror begin to challenge Adam’s sanity, he finds himself in a desperate struggle to control his writing, his reality, and who will be Big Baby’s next victim.”

Written and directed by Spider One, Big Baby is executive produced by pop icon Cher, Chaz Bono, Tyler Connolly, Wendy Berry, and Terry Poor.
