Bricks Walls and Dark Malls in New ‘Vanishing on 7th Street’ Clips
In addition to our exclusive new clip, we’ve now got all 4 looks at Brad Anderson’s Vanishing on 7th Street (review), which is now available On Demand (my personal favorite way to watch a movie), with a limited theatrical run beginning on February 18. Following a mysterious blackout, most of the population vanishes into thin air. As the remaining survivors converge in a small tavern to figure out what happened, the darkness returns to claim them one by one. The film was directed by horror fav Brad Anderson (Session 9, Transsiberian, The Machinist).
“An unexplained blackout plunges the city of Detroit into total darkness, and by the time the sun rises, only a few people remain – surrounded by heaps of empty clothing, abandoned cars and lengthening shadows. A small handful of strangers that have survived the night (Hayden Christensen, Thandie Newton, John Leguizamo and newcomer Jacob Latimore) each find their way to a rundown bar, whose gasoline-powered generator and stockpile of food and drink make it the last refuge in a deserted city. With daylight beginning to disappear completely and whispering shadows surrounding the survivors, they soon discover that the enemy is the darkness itself, and only the few remaining light sources can keep them safe. As time begins to run out for them, darkness closes in and they must face the ultimate terror.”
From producer Sam Raimi, the violent Boy Kills World may not have made a splash in theaters, but Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions are hoping you’ll check it out at home.
Boy Kills World will release on Digital at home on Tuesday, May 28.

Starring Bill Skarsgård, the film from producers Sam Raimi and Roy Lee is described as “a one-of-a-kind action spectacle set in a dystopian fever dream reality.”

Moritz Mohr directed Boy Kills World, which was written by Arend Remmers (Sløborn) and Tyler Burton Smith (Kung Fury: The Movie).
In Boy Kills World, “Boy (Bill Skarsgård) is a deaf-mute with a vibrant imagination. When his family is murdered, Boy escapes to the jungle and is trained by a mysterious shaman to repress his childish imagination and become an instrument of death.”
Raimi previews, “Mohr brings a distinct visual style and an unbridled imagination to the screen, creating an original, outrageous, and visceral thrill ride. Boy Kills World‘s eclectic cast, eye-popping stunt sequences, and deranged sense of humor will blow audiences away.”
