Comic-Con ’11: FIRST BLOOD! ‘ChromeSkull’ Clip and Image a Stab to the Face!
Slashers are supposed to be disgusting and over-the-top bloody, which is why you’re going to LOVE the following exclusive first clip and image from Rob Hall’s hotly anticipated ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2, Image Entertainment’s sequel that will WORLD PREMIERE for FREE at this week’s San Diego Comic-Con this Friday!
The night gets underway at 9:45PM on Friday, July 22nd at the Gaslamp 15 (701 5th ave, San Diego, CA) with writer/director Robert Hall, Producer Kevin Bocarde and stars Thomas Dekker, Owain Yeoman, Christopher Nelson, Aimee Lynn Chadwick, Angelina Armani and Brett Wagner on hand for a post-screening Q&A. We’re exclusively unveiling the new trailer and key art for the real-time nightmare below, ahead of the film’s release in select theaters and VOD on August 21.
Adam O’Brien (Mom) directs from a script by John Petrizzi and Brad Hodson.
When nurse Julia finds herself trapped inside the home of her dementia patient, she begins to suspect things are not what they seem; something demonic is seeping through the cracks of this old home. Trapped and with nowhere to turn, Julia soon finds herself in battle to rid the house of this evil before it is too late.
Dawn Ford, Emmanuelle Lussier Martinez, Bill Rowat, and Mark Antony Krupa star.
“This film depicts the most harrowing 90 minutes of our protagonist’s life, and I felt that the most visceral way to really feel this was to do a single-shot film,” O’Brien previously teased. “We are with her every step and misstep she takes – through the unraveling of the mystery to the horror of her discovery. It’s a fun, twisty roller-coaster ride that puts a new spin on exorcisms.”
Bury the Devil is the first installment in a planned trilogy. The prequel, Bury the Devil: Origin, is already in development with O’Brien returning to the helm.
O’Brien produces along with Philip Kalin-Hajdu (The Sacrifice Game) and Benoit Beaulieu (Turbo Kid).
