Confirmed Shooting Cast for Lionsgate’s ‘Nurse 3D’

Published

on

It looks as if IMDB was in fact correct with two of the three names joining Lionsgate’s Nurse 3D, their slasher being helmed by Doug Aarniokoski.

Both Boris Kodjoe (Resident Evil: Afterlife) and Adam Herschman (Accepted, Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay) have in fact joined the shooting cast, alongside Neal McDonough (The Hitcher, Captain America), Niecy Nash (“American Dad! ,” “Reno 911”) and Nick Turturro (Hellraiser: Inferno). They join the previously announced Paz De La Huerta, Katrina Bowden and Corbin Bleu. Dita Von Teese will NOT be starring.

De La Huerta (“Boardwalk Empire”) stars as Abby, a nurse who uses her sexuality to indulge a sinister side that finds her punishing dishonest men. Bleu will play Bowden’s boyfriend, a paramedic at the hospital who becomes entangled in Abby’s murderous web.

According to Lionsgate, the psycho-sexual 3D thriller is inspired by the photography of the company’s chief marketing officer, Tim Palen.

By day Abby Russell is a dedicated nurse, someone you wouldn’t hesitate to trust your life with. But by night, her real work begins…using her smoldering sexuality she lures cheating men to their brutal deaths and exposes them for who they really are. When a younger nurse starts to suspect Abby’s actions and compromises her master plan, Abby must find a way to outsmart her long enough to bring the cheater you’d least expect to justice.

Filming is underway on The Invisible Man director Leigh Whannell’s Wolf Man for Universal and Blumhouse, which will be howling its way into theaters on January 17, 2025.

Deadline reports that Matilda Firth (Disenchanted) is the latest actor to sign on, joining Christopher Abbott (Poor Things),  Julia Garner (The Royal Hotel), and Sam Jaeger.

The project will mark Whannell’s second monster movie and fourth directing collaboration with Blumhouse Productions (The Invisible Man, Upgrade, Insidious: Chapter 3).

Wolf Man stars Christopher Abbott as a man whose family is being terrorized by a lethal predator.

Writers include Whannell & Corbett Tuck as well as Lauren Schuker Blum & Rebecca Angelo.

Jason Blum is producing the film. Ryan Gosling, Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner and Whannell are executive producers. Wolf Man is a Blumhouse and Motel Movies production.

In the wake of the failed Dark Universe, Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man has been the only real success story for the Universal Monsters brand, which has been struggling with recent box office flops including the comedic Renfield and period horror movie The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Giving him the keys to the castle once more seems like a wise idea, to say the least.
