Alexandre Aja To Grow ‘Horns’!

Published

on

It’s been a while since we had news on the Horns front. Back in March we reported that Shia Labeouf was attached to play the lead but that may have changed – there’s no mention of him on today’s announcement that Alexandre Aja (High Tension, The Hills Have Eyes (Remake), and Piranha 3D) is taking the reigns on the adaptation of Joe Hill’s book.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, “Aja is coming on board to direct the project, about a 26-year-old man who wakes up with a massive hangover and discovers horns sprouting from his head. He becomes convinced that their existence is tied to the unsolved murder of his girlfriend. Scott Bunin wrote the script adaptation of the novel, which was published in February 2010. Mandalay’s Cathy Schulman and Peter Guber are producing. Hill, also the writer of the horror comic book series Locke & Key and the son of author Stephen King, is executive producing. Mandate is packaging the project and is in the middle of securing financing. The goal is to have Aja direct the movie in late spring or early summer 2012 before moving on to ‘Cobra’, a sci-fi pirate movie based on manga source material.

Either “The Beef” dropped out or they forgot to mention him. Sounds like an interesting project either way, but I wonder if Aja will ever get around to an original piece of material (i.e. not a remake, sequel or adaptation).

‘Fall 2: Deadpoint’ – New Poster Promises Brand New Trailer Tomorrow

Published

on

The Fall franchise heads to a new location with new characters in the upcoming Fall 2: Deadpoint, and a brand new official poster has been unleashed this morning.

Additionally, a new Fall 2 trailer is promised for tomorrow. Stay tuned.

Releasing in theaters on September 2, 2026, horror sequel Fall 2: Deadpoint is rated PG-13 for “strong language, some violent content/bloody images and drug material.”

Harriet Slater (Tarot) stars in the upcoming Fall 2: Deadpoint alongside Arsema Thomas (“Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story”) and Tom Brittney (Greyhound).

Michael & Peter Spierig (Predestination, Jigsaw) direct Fall 2: Deadpoint from a script by Fall writers Scott Mann (who also directed the original) and Jonathan Frank.

From the survival hit that tapped into the fear of heights and left friends stranded at the top of a tower comes a climb that goes higher, gets deadlier, and hits with next-level adrenaline.

In Fall 2: Deadpoint, two friends take on new heights in Thailand, where unpredictable terrain, extreme exposure, and nowhere to hide push survival further than ever before.

Overwhelmed by her sister Hunter’s death, Jax (Slater) connects with Luce (Thomas), Hunter’s fearless friend. To heal, they attempt the infamous plank walk of Mount Kwan in Thailand.

After a sudden rockslide leaves them stranded on a fragile plank 3000 feet in the air, Jax must confront her deepest fears and fight for survival to find closure.

Fall 3 has already been greenlit, with Mann returning to the director’s chair. The first Fall was a surprise hit in theaters, scaring up $18 million at the worldwide box office back in 2022.
