Final Trailer For Michael Biehn’s ‘The Victim’
You can take what you want from life or you can play The Victim. On September 18th, Anchor Bay Films unleashes the provocative and gritty grindhouse thriller The Victim, written, directed and starring 80’s horror/sci-fi icon and fan favorite Michael Biehn (The Terminator, Aliens, Tombstone).
Fans who like seeing their nail-biting suspense unfold on the big screen can enjoy The Victim in exclusive theatrical engagements at select theaters in New York starting August 24th and in Los Angeles starting September 7th. Check out the final trailer just sent in.
“Good time girls Annie (Jennifer Blanc) and Mary (Danielle Harris) find themselves in a life and death situation. Annie’s life is put in jeopardy when she is witness to a violent act at the hands of two Sheriff’s Deputies (Ryan Honey, Denny Kirkwood). With her pursuers closing in, she stumbles across Kyle (Michael Biehn, Terminator, Aliens, The Rock), a recluse living in the middle of the woods. A rugged loner, Kyle finds the stillness of the woods comforting. He keeps civilization at arm’s length; that is – until a single knock on his door throws his solitary life into chaos. Bonus features on The Victim include feature-length audio commentary by writer/director Biehn and co-star/co-producer Jennifer Blanc, a making-of featurette, and the theatrical trailer.
Two-time BAFTA winning filmmaker Joe Wright (Hanna, “Black Mirror“) is set to direct the feature adaptation of post-apocalyptic thriller novel, Juice, Deadline reports today.
Emmy winner Abi Morgan (Shame, “Eric”) will adapt Tim Winton‘s novel for Working Title Films.
In Juice, “A young husband and father is recruited into a top-secret resistance organization, to join the ranks of militia men tasked with targeting the isolated and wealthy culprits responsible for this global catastrophe. When a mission goes wrong, he finds himself on the run, having to fight to the end to survive in this hostile world.”
It’s set in a world ravaged by climate-change disaster.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled that Tim Winton has entrusted us with his extraordinary epic,” Wright told Deadline. “The story is both a thrilling modern family saga and an urgent call to action. I cannot wait for audiences to experience it on the big screen.”
Winton added, “I’m pleased to know a filmmaker of Joe Wright’s calibre has chosen to adapt Juice for the screen. His capacity to portray the turmoil and the turning points of nations and peoples as well as private individuals distinguishes his work as a director and I’m confident that Juice is in good hands.”
Juice was initially published in October 2024 and longlisted for The Climate Fiction Prize 2026.
