The new Paramount Vantage is reaching across the Viacom hall for a hybrid project with Comedy Central that sounds simply incredible. The companies have jointly acquired the rights to Ghosts/Aliens, Trey Hamburger’s supernatural comedy novel, and will develop as both a series and feature. Hamburger’s book, released in November, centers on two pothead friends who set out on a quest to discover both ghosts and aliens. The series and film could be developed concurrently, execs said. Phil Johnson will write the script.
